Bible Memory passages revisited

Last year we encouraged people to have a go at memorizing Psalm 23, Colossians 3:1-17 and 1 Corinthians 13.

I have regularly brought Psalm 23 to mind and let it encourage and shape my days.  But recently I have been revisiting Colossians 3:1-17 and 1 Corinthians 13 and have found them challenging and helpful.

Psalm 23 is a picture of the 'With God' life that Jesus calls us to.

1 Corinthians 13 (and the chapters before and after it) talk about Love and Spiritual gifts - I need both.  I need the character of Jesus (love) and the competency of Jesus (spiritual gifts)

Colossians 3:1-17  shows the way to grow into the 'With God' life.

It starts with setting my heart and mind on God, goes through putting to death evil desires and practices, clothing myself with compassion etc and then through peace, God's word, and thanksgiving growing to the point where in everything I do or say, I do it on Christ's behalf and with Christ's resources (ie in the name of Jesus Christ).

You might like to review them, refresh your memorization of them, or have another go at remembering some of them.
Then you might like to see if you can recall them regularly and let them become part of who you are.
