Stonnington Baptist Church was established to serve the Stonnington region in 1999, as a daughter church of the larger Crossway Baptist Church. We are a member church of the Baptist Union of Victoria.

In our changing culture we are aware of the pressure on families. We seek to strengthen family life, and provide an environment for children and young people to grow in a vibrant and dynamic Christian faith. We are a growing community, who place a high value on quality of relationships with each other and with God.

We have a contemporary praise and worship style and a relaxed, friendly approach.

We have a significant number of families with young children, and provide a cry room for infants, creche for toddlers, and Kids Church for children aged 5 & up. We also have an emerging Youth.Net group catering to the needs of our teenagers.

Home groups are the basic unit of the church, typically meeting mid-week for encouragement, support, prayer, study, worship and outward focus.

We place a strong emphasis on training every member of the church for ministry. Courses have included:

Alpha (designed to meet the needs of those asking questions about spirituality, Jesus Christ and the Christian faith)

The Marriage Course (to strengthen marriages)

Focused Living (helps you understand God's calling on your life)

and a number of other relevant opportunities from time to time.
